The USD 257 Alumni Endowment Association is dedicated to preparing our students to be college and career ready through enhancing the career and technical education initiatives. Our focus is threefold;
We are committed to supporting the USD 257 technology plan to implement mobile technology in the classroom. This will provide opportunities for project-based learning and developing 21st century learning skills. Funds generated will help pay for implementing technology such as a 1:1 initiative in USD 257 schools.
We are also committed to supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education through Project Lead the Way (PLTW). PLTW focuses on project-based learning through an integrated curriculum that focuses on engineering. Funds generated will help USD 257 finance the implementation of Project Lead the Way.
CNC Router & Plasma Cutter
Part of PLTW includes the purchase of a CNC router and CNC plasma cutter. The purchase of this equipment will provide hands-on career opportunities for students who will be entering the industrial manufacturing field. This will benefit both the students and employers in the area by providing knowledgeable and skilled employees. Funding our project will allow USD 257 to provide endless opportunities for students who are the future of Allen County.
